Trung is a Fellow member of VACPA (FCPA Vietnam), Fellow member of CPA Australia (FCPA Australia) and Fellow member of ACCA UK (FCCA UK). Trung is also a member of the Vietnam Tax Consultants’ Association (VTCA). Trung was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister for his contribution to the establishment and development of the independent audit profession in Vietnam.

27 years of working experience in auditing, accounting and tax profession not only in Vietnam but also in other countries such as Cambodia, Laos, China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Myanmar and Sri Lanka.

Trung is currently a lecturer of Business School of FPT University ("FSB") for MBA programmes, Hanoi School Business ("HSB"), Economics School/National University, and lecturer of Vietnam National University - Hanoi and Hanoi University of Technology.  He is also a speaker of many conferences and seminars on tax, auditing, accounting and finance matters.

Trung is reelected to Executive Committee of VACPA in the 5th term and reappointed as a standing member, head of member division of VACPA in the 5th term (2021-2026) after successful performance of the same role during the 3rd term (2012-2015) and the 4th term (2015-2020). Trung was a member of ACCA Membership Committee in Vietnam in several terms and also a Chairman of ACCA Member in Vietnam during the period 2009 – 2011 and 2011-2013.
